Class Schedules

We have a wide range of classes and workshops for all levels. Whether it’s your first time practicing, you’re advancing into teacher training or you’re simply passionate about the art of yoga, we have something that will suit you and your practice.

About Us

Our vision at the Fernwood Yoga Den is to create a space, a Sangha (Community) where all individuals are warmly welcomed – a place where everyone is included and we can share in the transformational practice of yoga together. We want to make a positive change in the world – and through our Vision Programming – registered classes are offered to students who would not have the financial ability to otherwise participate in yoga. We offer Trauma-Sensitive Yoga on-site to women who are living with depression, anxiety, grief or who are healing from trauma. If someone you know could benefit from these classes. please pass on the offering.

Workshops

Our workshops are designed to explore different areas of the yogic practice in a a deeper way. Many Workshops are offered as a part of our teacher training program but open to the community to participate.

Our Studio

The Yoga Den is located in a cozy space! So in order to ensure everyone’s comfort, Here are some guidelines:

 

  • Upon entering the studio, please remove your shoes and store them in one of the shoe cubbyholes.
  • The studio entrance is through the wooden door on the side of the building beside lotus mural.
  • Doors open for classes about 15 minutes prior to start time, and are often locked when class is in session. please arrive at least 5 minutes early to settle in- no need to pre-register for classes
  • There is a washroom/ change room in The Yoga Den and space to store your belongings in the studio, while you are in class.
  • Please do not bring Cel phones into studio space and make sure they are turned to sent before you store your belongings.
  • Please do not bring water bottles into Practice space- Try to come hydrated for class.
  • If you are new to yoga or the studio, or have injuries or information relevant to practising, please let the teacher know.
  • We have mats to borrow free of charge, and all the props you need.
  • Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and let us know if you have any questions.
  • Talk to your teachers if you have any injuries or special concerns.

Teacher Training

This Yoga Alliance-certified course, is designed to create a foundation into personal ritual that provides a visceral experience of the practices of yoga. Only then can you share these teachings with others.
